SELF-CARE TIPS:

This has been coming through so strongly for me that I have been telling all my clients and friends and now I'm posting here.  It may seem painfully obvious, but the most basic things are CRUCIAL now as we are downloading more energy than ever before.  Not caring for ourselves in the most meticulous way possible can lead to major flu symptoms or extreme mental stress as a result of all the spiritual clearing we are ALL doing--whether you think you are or not!

So, here is my loving reminder to you, dear ones:

-DRINK WATER...like, a LOT of water.  The very minimum amount is the number of your weight in pounds, divided by two, equals the amount in ounces you must drink to maintain BASIC level hydration.  If you are working out, getting body work, getting sick, or doing spiritual clearing, then the amount increases from there.  Seriously, if you do this, you won't get sick!

-GET MINERALIZED...that might not be a real word, but do it anyway!  We are very rarely able to get enough from our diets and it's critical now to be hydrated and have the proper minerals on board so as to be clear and efficient conduits of all the voltage moving through our bodies.  We don't want that electricity to have a bumpy ride through our system, we want to ground it down smoothly and easily, right?  I recommend taking a food-based supplement, like a green powder, or fulvic/humic acid, or liquid minerals in water every day.

-SLEEP...more than you think you need to.  Trust that you are evolving and that requires plenty of rest.  Add an extra hour or two a night on to what you normally sleep and see if you feel better.  Perhaps you're a nap person.  Whatever works for you.  Just make sure you have plenty of time to sleep, rest, and have some unstructured time to just space out or play.  Think about how much kids sleep because they are growing so much.  We are growing a lot now.  Powering through doesn't work any more.  Honor your need for sleep.

-BATHE...more than you may think necessary, maybe.  A salt bath is especially helpful.  Try epsom salts mixed with sea salt and don't be afraid to put a lot in.  You'll get the bonus of cleansing, hydrating AND mineralizing all in one!  Only stay in the salt bath for 15-20 minutes as after that, it ceases to be useful and is actually kinda gross.  For a longer soak just go for a regular ol' bath, or go to the hot springs!  We are blessed in Oregon with some wonderful natural hot springs.  If you don't have a tub, you can scrub with salt in the shower.  It can be a little intense on the skin, so go easy on the tender spots.  As we clear more and more third density baggage, we will need to keep sweeping it out of our fields and flushing it out.  Taking a bath or shower is an easy way to clear on the energetic level as well as physical.

I know that this all seems obvious, but please notice!  Are you really taking care of the basics?  It's not optional.  Trust that it is of the utmost importance right now to do the simple things with impeccable care and diligence.

Self-Care Tool: Ask Your Body

Here's an interesting concept:  Asking your body about anything that concerns it!

How many times have you had a real dialogue with your body?  Is is usually more of a monologue, a litany of complaints, or demands in which you're pushing your body to perform?  Do you ever look at your body and think hateful thoughts?  Ever wished it was different?  Do you ever feel victimized by your body?  Like, "Oh, no!  I can't believe I'm getting sick/injured/whatever again!"

Well, I wouldn't know anything about that!  You're on your own!

Actually, I have totally been there--of course--and am still working on it, but I've been using this amazing tool that has helped immensely and I'd like to share with you.  It's called Ask Your Body.

What if the way to experience greater joy and ease through the body was to actually have a relationship in which the conversations weren't all one-sided, but rather invitations to your body to share it's wisdom, it's desires, and it's needs with you?  What if you actually listened to your body on a regular basis?  Consulting with it on issues that directly concerned it, like eating food?  And what if, by listening regularly, you could avoid your body having to shout it's messages to you by getting sick/injured/whatever just to get your attention?

What if you could ask your body about whatever concerns it, thereby opening up a dialogue that led to a healthier relationship in which your body became your ally?

I invite you to try this tool from Access Consciousness:  Ask Your Body!

Here's how it works:  For example, you're standing in front of your closet of clothing wondering what to wear.  You can ask your body what IT wants to wear!  Just say, silently or aloud, "Body, what would you like to wear today?"  You may hear an answer, just suddenly know the answer, perhaps a certain garment seems to jump out at you, perhaps you feel your body gently sway toward a certain piece of clothing, but no mater how the answer shows up, trust it.  Even if you can't tell if the answer has shown up at all, trust that it has and on some level your spirit has received it and is guiding your actions.  This is where faith comes in--faith in yourself and your ability to receive the message.  Thank your body for it's answer and honor it by wearing what it has chosen to wear that day.  Even if you don't feel the answer at first, imagine that you can, and follow the energy.  Remember, if you have cut off communication for a long time, it may take a little while to re-establish contact, but it will continue to grow, becoming stronger each time.

Other opportunities for asking your body include:  asking your body what it wants to eat, asking your body what environment it wants to be in, asking your body where it wants to go on vacation, what paint color it wants on the walls, what perfume it wants to wear, what shoes to buy, what hair cut it wants, what vitamins it wants to take, and the list goes on!  Get creative!  Just start asking and see where the energy leads you.

Some people are naturally in tune with what their body wants, but even if you are one of these intuitive people, I invite you to explore this in a conscious way, bringing more awareness to the process and the information you're receiving.  You may even be surprised at some of the answers you receive!

The really cool thing about this tool--besides having an amazing new friendship!--is that once your body becomes an ally, a true and trusted friend, who trusts YOU, it will start to do things that you want to do, too!

I have so much gratitude for the Access Consciousness community for putting amazing tools like Ask Your Body out into the world for people like me to stumble upon, experiment with, and share with people like you!

Keep following your body's guidance, your inner knowing, and the mysterious, synchronistic universal energy all around you!

Self-Care Tool: Clearing & Grounding

 

Energetic Spring Cleaning!


Now that we've moved into some planetary alignments that are stirring up the energy, it's a great time to get clear and grounded.

Here are a couple simple tools from my energy work toolbox that you can play with and see they help you feel lighter, find more clarity, and stay grounded.

Create a Grounding Cord

Take a moment to close your eyes, bring your attention inward, and connect with your body by taking a few cleansing, expansive, and mindful breaths.

Next, bring your awareness to the base of the spine.  Breathe into it...and as you breathe, imagine a big taproot or cord of light starting from this area and going down, down, down...through the floor, through the building, and down into the earth.

With every breath, send it deeper...til you reach the center of the earth.

Once you reach the center, draw the earth energy up, up, up your grounding cord, making your cord bigger, juicier, more radiant, and powerful...all the way up to the base of your spine.

Allow the energy to radiate through every cell of your body...and enjoy your connection to Mother Earth.

With your intention, you can keep this energetic cord grounding you all throughout the day.

If you start to feel agitated, spacey, or tired, remember your grounding cord.  Just focusing on it again for a moment will strengthen the connection again.

You can even make the command, "Grounding cord activate"  or "Grounding cord bigger"

Once you have established the grounding cord, you can stop there, or for a simple clearing technique, you can continue to run the energy to further clear your major energy centers and field.


Running Energy

After creating your radiant, light-filled grounding cord, imagine this energy lighting up the energy center at the base of the spine as a brilliant sphere of golden light.  The beautiful golden light is cleansing all negative energy from this center.

Next, keep the first ball of light going as you draw the energy up the spine to the energy center at your navel, creating another beautiful ball of light, cleansing the second center, front and back of the spine.

Continue up the spine to the third center at the solar plexus, lighting it up and cleansing it with the golden light, shining it out from a sphere centered at the spine.  Feel it cleansing all negative emotions, making it easier to breathe.

Next comes the heart center, cleansed in the golden light.  Enjoy the feeling of your radiant heart, shining out in all directions, 360 degrees.

Keep going up the spine to the throat center, lighting it up and clearing all negative energies with the radiant golden light.

Next comes the center at the third eye, in the center of the head.  Light up this center with the golden energy, clearing all energetic congestion and cleansing it completely...lighting up your whole brain.  Creating clarity and ease in the mental center.

Continue up to the 7th center, at the crown of the head.  Create a radiantly beautiful sphere at the top of the head, shining out in all directions,  clearing the channel to your knowing, and your connection to universal Source consciousness.

Let the crown grow bigger and brighter...and then, finally, allow the light to spill out from the crown in a sparkling shower of golden light all around you.  As the light showers down, it cleanses all energetic congestion and negativity in your field.   It cascades down into the earth, where Mother Earth transmutes the energy, turning it back into fresh, clean earth prana.

As with the grounding cord, you can, with the power of your intention, keep this energy running for as long as you like.

Self-Care Tool: Salt Baths

Salt Baths for Sanity!

 


You know the feeling.  You were a little gung-ho in yoga class and now your muscles are aching.  You gave of yourself all day long and now you're tapped.  You had lunch with a friend who dumped a bunch of their emotions and now you feel like you may have brought some of them home.  We've all been there!

Whether you're feeling a little stiff physically or stifled psychically, one beautifully simple remedy is a salt bath.  Any kind of salt bath will help, but if you want to get scientific, here are some tips for more profound results:
  • Experiment with blending sea salt, Epsom salts, and baking soda to cleanse, relax and alkalize.
  • Go heavier on sea salt for energetic cleansing, and for extra clearing on the psychological level, add a few drops of lavender essential oil.
  • For physical strain, go heavier on the Epsom salts and add a few drops of tea tree oil.
  • Soak in the bath for about 15 -20 minutes, or however long feels appropriate to you.  After the cleansing happens, you're sitting there soaking in the stuff you released, so longer is not necessarily better.  Go with your intuition.
  • You can say to yourself, "I now release all yucky energies that don't serve me into the salt solution."  Or something to that effect.
Here's why it works:  Water naturally absorbs energy, and salt is full of green prana that goes to work disintegrating that energy.  So the water pulls it out and the green energy chops it up.  Tea tree is also full of green prana.  The green ray is a very safe cleansing energy that works well on the physical level.  Lavender, as you may have guessed by now, is full of violet prana which is also cleansing but on the higher vibrational plane of the emotional level.  That is one of the reasons why lavender is so effective as a stress reducer!

I invite you to play with this tool and see if it helps you feel more grounded and clear.  We all can use a salt bath now and then, and if you are a practitioner, coach, therapist, or care-giver, I highly recommend salt baths or some other form of energy clearing on a regular basis as folks that are called to those lines of work are more likely to be picking up on other people's stuff.
